Denham Range and Hazelwood Gorge Day Trip

Revisiting the Camel Hump and Hazelwood Gorge trip that was weather affected

Meet at Goodes Lookout at 9:00am for a day's drive along the tracks out the back of Eungella.

Plenty of low-range 4WD with a variety of terrain and ever-changing views of the Australian bush. Not hard-core but suitably challenging in places. The camel hump is a little bit scratchy in a few places.

Hazelwood Gorge is a short track off Eungella Dam Road with views over an impressive gorge. Camel Hump track is a little-known shortcut to the Denham range with a few steep hill climbs through some lovely country with impressive views from the tallest of the hills. Denham range has great views to the West. The track back from Denham range takes you through a mix of jungle and dry country.

Bring basic recovery gear, warm clothing, smoke, lunch and water.
